Symbiosis: A Dream

There is no sound but the air.

A dream of a human. The human walks as any other, and talks as one. The human lives, but is not alive. This is the way of all humans.

A dream of a bird. It is the same dream, of a different place. The bird is not quite so, as the human is. The bird sees the human, and the human listens to the bird. But the bird is itself, and sees much more. This is the way of all birds.

The dream grows as the human moves. The bird creates for the human. The human knows this place the bird has created. The bird tells the human of all that it sees, and the human loves the bird for this.

There are other birds. The birds gather. They sing to one another of the humans and their creations. Their songs build the world.

The human is gathered with other humans. The human prefers the bird. The other humans prefer the other birds. The birds have brought them to this place.

The birds all perch surrounding above the place where the humans are. The birds sing to one another and to the humans. The humans look down, and they listen to the birds. There is no sound but the air.

After a time, the humans are dispersed from the place they have gathered. The birds take up, and lead the humans away from the place.

This is the way of the birds for all days. This is the way of all gathered humans at all places.

The dream is not a happy one. There is no waking.
